Machine Operator - Primarily focused on operating machines. This role reports directly to the Machine Department ManagerResponsibilities:
  • Machine setup, operation, and maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ensure all safety and quality controls are always in place.
  • Assist the Machine Manager in all continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
  • Track individual production metrics daily.
  • Operate a pallet jack as needed.
  • Assist other departments in production when necessary.
  • Ensure best practices being attentive and focused on the machines and materials.
  • Maintain a culture within the Plant that promotes safety, ethics, integrity, and individual accountability. Maintain a positive and achievement goal oriented working environment for all employees.
  • Provide training, direction, and support to employees on their assigned job responsibilities.
Requirements:
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds intermittently.
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds repetitively.
  • Mechanical aptitude a plus.
  • Experience in a metal fabrication environment a plus.
  • Experience implementing LEAN Manufacturing principles a plus.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work the night shift.
  • Night shift seasonal position with possibility of full time year round
  • Must be mechanically inclined or come from a mechanical background
