We seek a talented and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our award-winning team.Position Overview:As a Dental Hygienist at Diamond Dental, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for delivering high-quality dental hygiene services and educating our patients on effective oral care practices. We are looking for a dedicated individual with a strong background in dental hygiene, excellent communication skills, and a passion for patient care.Key Responsibilities:
  • Ability to interact professionally with colleagues and patients of all ages
  • Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth
  • Provide dental prophylaxis and periodontal treatments
  • Conduct comprehensive oral health assessments and document findings
  • Perform oral cancer screenings
  • Take digital X-rays
  • Apply fluoride treatments and sealants.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations
  • Assist in developing patient treatment plans and preventive care strategies
  • Screen for other specific patient needs and provide appropriate recommendations or referrals
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records through an electronic dental record system
  • Follow infection control protocols and ensure a clean, safe environment
  • Collaborate effectively with the dentist and other team members to deliver outstanding patient care
  • Effectively manage time and work with the team to complete all assigned tasks within a seat deadline
Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene or equivalent
  • Valid state license and certification as a Dental Hygienist
  • CPR certification is to be obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • Previous experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred, though recent graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and protocols
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
