SURESTAFF is immediately hiring Material Handlers for a plastics client in Pittston, PA The Material Handler is responsible for supporting operations, maintaining production flow, providing accurate production ticketing and paperwork while keeping work area organized and clean.
SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp to hire employees are offered competitive compensation of $20.50 per hour as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Generous referral bonuses are available upon hire. Available shifts include a rotating shift 6pm-6am Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis. Responsibilities of the Material Handler:
  • Works safely, notifying leads and or management of safety issues or concerns.
  • Visually inspects bottles for defects and notifies team management of nonconforming product.
  • Pack finished goods onto pallets or drive forklift (certified through client).
  • Maintains appropriate levels of prepared Dunnage for production packaging.
  • Ensures product is properly labelled and recorded
  • Monitors production as totes or pallets fill, removing, closing, ticketing and placing in warehouse
  • Supports crew where needed.
  • Keeps production area organized and clean
  • May load raw material (resin, preforms, etc.)
  • Pulls stock, fills out shipping manifest and loads trailers for deliveries.
  • Disposes of scrap and recycling – may utilize bailers or grinders
  • May perform rework/sorting duties.
Required Qualifications of the Material Handler:
  • Previous Fork truck experience
  • Good experience and knowledge in warehouse management
  • Good interpersonal skills – ability to read/write English
  • Perform basic math functions
  • Ability to climb, sit, stand and walk on a varying basis throughout work schedule
  • Ability to carry and/or maneuver up to 50 pounds
