
CNC Swiss/Mill Turn Machinist - Overnights 10pm to 6:30am

- Basic shop math skills.
- Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and inspection criteria.
- Must be proficient in the use of standard inspection equipment.
- Basic understanding of GD&T.
- Review complex drawings and GT&D.
- Program and troubleshoot complex tool paths.
- Troubleshoot complicated process issues independently.
- Support training of Level I Machinist and Operators.
- Work independently and in a team environment.
- Work with other departments on projects, designs, and process improvements.
- Program, set-up, run parts, inspect, and make adjustments to produce conforming parts with no supervision.
- Support Discovery and Engineering on rapid prototyping and urgent request.
- Write and implement Macros.
- Support and train new employees on work order line clearances to reduce any delays to downstream processes.
- Mentor new employees and evaluate training requirements to meet KPI targets.
- Monitor Hourly Productivity & Quality report and take action to resolve issues to meet daily targets.
- Participate in daily KPI meeting focused on identifying and resolving issues impacting ability to meet daily and weekly targets.
- All other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of trade school preferred.
- 1-2 years’ experience setting-up and operate Swiss style and Mill turn machines required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of trade school preferred.
- 3-5 years’ experience programming, setting-up and operate Swiss style and Mill turn machines required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of trade school preferred.
- 6+ years’ experience programming, setting-up and operate Swiss style and Mill turn machines required.
- Advanced programming experience required; Partmaker/Esprit experience preferred.
- Basic shop math skills.
- Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and inspection criteria.
- Must be proficient in the use of standard inspection equipment.
- Basic understanding of GD&T
- Knowledge of SPC preferred.
- Good working knowledge of GD&T.
- Programming experience preferred.
- Able to run variety of shop equipment.
- Experience working with close tolerances in a variety of metals.
- Capable of writing complex multi axis programs.
- Strong working knowledge of GD&T.
- Frequently required to lift and/or carry from 10-30 lbs.
- Some heavy lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Sitting, standing, and/or walking for up to eight hours per day in a manufacturing environment.
- Regularly required to talk and/or hear, see, handle, reach, see color, and perform repetitive motion.
- Occasional travel required.
