The School of Education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks scholars with professional experience in organizational learning and leadership for an appointment at the rank of Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor starting as early as January 1, 2026. These full-time 12-month positions will be appointed for three-year terms, with the potential to renew for additional terms.This position is an opportunity to contribute to expanding organizational leadership knowledge and teaching contributions across the undergraduate and graduate programs in the School of Education. Candidates' primary responsibilities will include developing and teaching courses in organizational leadership and mentoring students in the EdD in Educational Leadership's online concentration Organizational Leadership and Learning (OLL). In addition, candidates will (a) support strategic initiatives across the School and campus; (b) contribute to the ongoing development of undergraduate and graduate programs; and © provide leadership and service at the local, state, and national levels.
Minimum Education and Experience RequirementsCandidates must hold a doctorate in education, sociology, organizational psychology, or closely related fields.The position requires experience in teaching and bridging theory and practice for undergraduate and graduate students in an organizational leadership program. Successful candidates have extensive knowledge on how adults and organizations learn and develop, and apply their work to broad contexts, including higher education, businesses, government agencies, and/or private organizations.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and ExperienceStrong preference will be given to candidates with experience in organization-based research and the use of research to drive organizational change.
