- Commission photographers and produce shoots for print and digital.
- Lead production on set and have strong on-set art directing experience.
- Collaborate with the visual, art and editorial teams to conceptualize creative shoot concepts.
- Research photos for all sections of print and digital with a strong emphasis on conceptual imagery, food and portraiture.
- Manage shoot budgets effectively, ensuring projects stay within financial parameters while demonstrating resourcefulness in allocating and maximizing available resources.
- Input credits, pass hi-res files, book travel, prop style, generate photo contracts and certificates of insurance, create call sheets, etc.
- A minimum of five years of experience working in the photo department of a magazine or similar outlet.
- Must possess strong conceptual thinking skills with a background or experience in conceptual art and visual storytelling.
- Must have experience producing still life, fashion, celebrity and beauty shoots.
- This candidate must exhibit professionalism and have a proven ability to work effectively with others.
- Must be a strong photo producer and have experience art directing on-set.
- Must have good relationships with photographers, stylists and photo agents.
- Must be ambitious, proactive, detail oriented and have the ability to work in a fast- paced environment.
The base salary for this role is between $74,000 - $80,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.Location: This role is currently based in the NYC office at least 3 days a week.
