What you’ll do as a SupervisorYou will supervise a team of FTTH in-home and SMB installation techniciansYou will coach, counsel, and evaluate performance of field staff.You will coordinate scheduling, assist dispatch with daily job routing and ensure adequate staffing.You will identify problem areas in the department and communicate problems and possible solutions to the Project Manager.You will develop procedures and implement them to better organize the team/department.You will assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority to technicians.You will assist in recruitment and training efforts.You will assist in warehousing and logistics support as needed to supplement the warehouse staffYou will establish, implement, and maintain operating standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.You will track employee performance, tool assignments, vehicle assignments, uniforms, consumable items, etc. through the creation and use of spreadsheets and other documentsYou will perform quality control inspections to correct and coach any issues foundYou will interface with customers to resolve complaints and damages resulting from installation workYou will perform various field technician duties as needed, including but not limited to, carrying and climbing a ladder when necessary.You will perform other duties not listed here, as they arise, and as they are assigned to youWhat you’ll needMust have a minimum of 1 year fiber optic or cable installation experience.Must be able to perform mandatory job site inspections to ensure employee compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.Must have a high School Diploma or G.E.D.Must be able to work a very flexible schedule.Must be able to work in a fast paced time sensitive environmentMust be able to handle multiple tasks and last-minute changesMust have exceptional customer service experiencesMust be a team player.Former supervisory experience a plus.Valid driver's license with minimum of 2 years driving experience and a good driving record.Physical abilities & exposures
  • Routinely: work at heights, in confined spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery; squeeze, fine hand motion, work with arms above shoulder level, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift greater than 55 pounds
  • Occasionally: use ladder, keyboard and mouse
