Every engine that leaves their shop is built to perform — and built to last.About the Role: We’re looking for an experienced Aircraft Engine Builder to join this elite team. In this role, you’ll assemble and test high-performance piston aircraft engines, ensuring every build meets exacting standards for quality, performance, and reliability. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in their craft and thrives in a detail-driven environment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble, repair, and test engine subcomponents to manufacturer specifications
  • Interpret and apply Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and overhaul manuals
  • Inspect and verify all parts (new or used) prior to installation
  • Review and confirm repair documentation from outside vendors
  • Perform precision measurements using micrometers, bore gauges, and other tools
  • Conduct thorough inspections during assembly to ensure compliance and quality
  • Test engine performance using approved shop methods and equipment
  • Diagnose and correct any operational issues during testing
  • Maintain detailed and accurate build records
  • Support the Shop Foreman or General Manager with additional shop needs
What We’re Looking For:
  • 4+ years of aircraft engine build/maintenance experience
  • Will also consider skilled diesel or motorcycle mechanics with precision engine assembly/building experience
  • Strong understanding of reciprocating aircraft engine function and theory
  • Skilled with precision measurement tools (vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, snap gauges)
  • Solid math skills and attention to detail
  • Pride in workmanship and commitment to quality
  • Owns basic hand tools
  • Preferred: FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license
