- Global Contracts COE Support: Support the formation of a global contracts COE and the implementation of a contracts compliance strategy, contracts policy and best practices, template agreements, contract playbooks, and CLM technology
- Contract Drafting and Negotiation: Lead the negotiation, drafting, and review of global contracts and ensure legal terms are aligned with company policies and objectives.
- Contract Lifecycle Management: Support the end-to-end lifecycle of contracts, from creation and negotiation to execution, renewal, and termination, using a CLM system to bring visibility, agility, and analytics to the contracting process.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Support and collaborate with the legal, procurement, and commercial teams on contract negotiations and contract improvement projects.
- Template & Clause Management: Support the development and maintenance of standard contract templates, clauses, and playbooks to streamline contract creation and ensure consistency across all business teams.
- Contract Performance Monitoring: Track key obligations, milestones, and deadlines, ensuring timely execution and compliance with contract terms.
- Team Collaboration: Establish a team-oriented approach with other COE lead, lead attorneys, and contract managers and lead to eliminate workflow redundancies while prioritizing the efficient delivery of legal advice and analysis of contracts.
- Training & Support: Provide guidance and training to internal teams on contract processes, terms, and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree required, with 5-7 years of experience in contracts management, paralegal work, or a similar role in a law firm, in-house legal, or procurement or commercial department.
- Lead negotiator for complex global procurement and commercial transactions, with at least 5 years of experience managing procurement and commercial agreements and overseeing the entire contract lifecycle.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, legal/contract management software, and excellent drafting and writing abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating legal issues into business risks/benefits, and problem-solving complex issues for vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Leadership experience in customer-focused environments, strategic thinking with strong business sense, and ability to navigate a fast-paced, global work setting.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage complex projects, multi-task, and adapt to frequent change.
- Comfortable working with all levels of an organization, including executives, and key suppliers/customers, with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
- 10+ years in contracts management, paralegal, or similar roles, focusing on reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and managing contracts.
- Experience drafting and negotiating procurement and commercial agreements for a global manufacturing company.
- Over 10 years of experience managing procurement or commercial agreements, with familiarity in contracts lifecycle management tools and technology.
- Skilled in legal technologies, particularly in contracts lifecycle management, document management, and knowledge management.
