Test Automation EngineerHesston, Kansas - Full TimeProductive Resources ( ) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Hesston, Kansas. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will have primary responsibility for test design and creation of the test script for use with the HIL and contribute to the assembly of the electronics of a next generation HIL. The Test Automation Engineer will join our Harvesting team in Hesston, Kansas. In this role you will test new software features for our Combine platform.This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.Duties:
  • Work in an Agile environment with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, developers, and testers to understand new requirements then write test cases to support them.
  • Validate newly developed features and bugfixes designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts using Python to validate software functionality based on predefined test cases.
  • Document and report software defects, anomalies, and issues identified during testing, and collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
  • Create/assembly HIL parts and harnesses to interface with electronic control units (ECUs), sensors, actuators, and other components.
  • Fabricate and assembly of HIL harnesses, ensuring compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Agricultural, Computer, Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in developing hardware-in-the-loop systems for testing and validation.
  • Proficiency in Python programming language.
  • Understanding of vehicle communication systems (CAN, Ethernet, LIN) and Vector tools (CANalyzer, CANoe, CANape).
  • History of working on diverse teams.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with agriculture machinery.
  • Knowledge of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) environments such as National Instruments and Speedgoat.
  • Experience with Matlab and Simulink.
  • Good understanding of mechatronic systems (actuators and sensors) as well as basic analog/digital circuits.
  • Familiarity with electronic lab equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc).
