  • Full Time: 40 Hours/Week
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, typically 8:00am - 4:30pm
  • Location: Warrenville, travel as needed to other locations

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients in a friendly manner whether on the phone or in person..
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal physicians and with scheduling staff at facilities.
  • Verify patient personal and insurance information -- coordinate pre-op testing per insurance.
  • Single point-of-contact for internal staff and external inquiries for all scheduled procedures.
  • Schedule and/or reschedule pre-op lab and/or other testing before procedures and surgeries if necessary.
  • Contact patient to confirm procedure/surgery.
  • Explain and verify proper prep instructions with patients, route to nurse if appropriate.
  • Prepare all essential paperwork for referral coordinator and facilities.
  • Verify daily doctor's schedules, print and distribute to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain the strictest patient confidentiality.
  • Work with billing staff to ensure all procedures are charged.
  • Cover/fill-in for co-workers as needed.
  • Track case volume and direct cases to facilities per direction of management team
Possible Medical Assistant duties include:
  • Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history
  • Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures
  • Certified medical assistants may assist with immunizations or injections
  • Assist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing
  • Conduct onsite lab testing to include: EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests
  • Maintains clean, warm and inviting examination rooms for patient visits
  • Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values
  • Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required
Qualifications
  • Medical terminology, verbal and written.
  • CPT and ICD-9 coding.
  • Referral process.
  • Must have the ability to learn new computer programs.
  • Act professionally towards customers, physicians, and co-workers.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize.
  • Must posses time management skills.
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ year(s) prior medical assistant experience
  • Prior surgery scheduling experience preferred
The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $16.30-24.50/hour, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
