- Work with a group of analog/RFIC design experts in development of cellular-band RFICs that have stand-alone or integrated LNA cores, RF switches, attenuators, controller, and various RF and analog functional blocks
- Interface with system engineers and module design teams to create the detailed specification, report design progress, and to collect, track, and resolve any performance and circuit design issues
- Transistor-level CMOS or SOI RFIC design knowledge
- Basic device physics
- Ability to develop and use advanced linear and nonlinear models or simulation techniques and be able to translate between the model, simulation, physical implementation, and the measured performance of a device
- Optimize RFIC performance using RF and microwave engineering knowledge
- Utilize simulation tools, analog and RF circuit test characterization techniques and equipment
- Good communication skills, ability to break down complex problems, set priorities, report progress, execute to a schedule, and have strong teamwork skills
- Strong understanding in RF/microwave fundamentals such as impedance matching, passive RLC and resonant circuits, noise, linearity, circuit stability and Electromagnetic theory
- Relevant experience in micro-strip/strip line stack up/laminate/multi-chip module (MCM), PA, LNA, RF switch design or passive circuit design such as integrated passive device, coupler and balun
- Strong circuit simulation skills utilizing Agilent ADS/, 2.5/3D EM tools such as Momentum/EMX/Sonnet, HFSS/CST and Cadence and ability to translate between the model, simulation, physical implementation, and measured performance
- Strong lab skills in data collection/analysis, lab debug/tuning and product troubleshooting
