- Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of high-value clients
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the firm's client base
- Conduct regular meetings with clients to discuss tax strategies, financial goals, and risk management
- Tax Planning and Compliance:
- Oversee the preparation and review of complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and trusts
- Develop comprehensive tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize wealth preservation for clients
- Stay current with changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring compliance and identifying new planning opportunities
- Provide expert guidance on complex tax issues, including multi-state taxation, international tax matters, and IRS examinations
- Estate and Trust Planning:
- Design and implement sophisticated estate and trust plans for high-net-worth individuals and families
- Advise clients on wealth transfer strategies, gift tax planning, and charitable giving
- Collaborate with attorneys and financial advisors to create holistic estate plans that align with clients' goals
- Oversee the preparation of estate and gift tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff members, fostering their professional development
- Contribute to the firm's strategic planning and decision-making processes
- Participate in recruiting efforts to attract top talent to the firm
- Promote a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within the tax department
- Technical Expertise and Thought Leadership:
- Maintain deep technical knowledge in areas of specialization, including individual tax, pass-through entities, and estates & trusts
- Contribute to the firm's thought leadership initiatives through writing articles, presenting at conferences, and conducting client seminars
- Represent the firm in professional organizations and industry events
- Collaborate with other practice areas to provide comprehensive solutions to clients

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from an accredited institution
- CPA, JD, LLM or MST required
- Minimum of 10-15 years of Tax Management experience from public account firm
- Extensive experience with C-Corp Form 1120 tax filing entities and ASC 740 tax provisions
- Industry knowledge within the Technology/Startup and Emerging Growth sector a plus
- Demonstrated strategic leadership. Defining market opportunities, creating a strategic plan, process and deployment capabilities
