It requires strong coordination across internal teams, external partners, and vendors to maintain accurate processes and timely filings. The role emphasizes proactive oversight of tax and retirement account requirements, risk mitigation through effective controls and documentation, and clear communication to support client and organizational objectives.Responsibilities:Serve as primary liaison with tax processing vendor: clarify issues and manage escalations.Work closely with administration on tax-related issues, trust structuring, and client communications.Coordinate with tax vendor to ensure tax estimates are processed timely and accuratelyProcess withholding payments with the various statesEstablish and maintain internal review checklists, workflows, and documentation practices for all trust tax activities.Oversee timely filing of fiduciary tax forms (e.g., IRS Form 1041, state trust returns), extensions, etc.Ensure Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs) are set up in compliance with IRS regulations, including accurate beneficiary designations and proper account titling.Monitor Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) to ensure calculations are accurate and distributions occur in a timely manner to avoid penalties.Coordinate with internal teams to proactively address RMD-related issues (e.g., missed distributions, incorrect valuations).Perform tax review for account closing processWhat are we looking for?We’re looking for strong collaborators who deliver exceptional client experiences and thrive in fast-paced, team-oriented environments.
