For certain roles, we also provide the option to work fully remotely, based on the position and job requirements.What You'll Do:As a project engineer, you will have the chance to collaborate with other professionals within the water business unit and across other business units, depending on the projects assigned. The water business unit handles a diverse range of projects for private, public, and municipal clients, offering you the opportunity to expand your technical expertise across various project types. The Northeast Ohio water group has recently completed a variety of projects, including the following:
- Water Treatment & Distribution
- Wastewater Treatment & Collection
- Stormwater Collection & Detention
- Water Modeling
- Hydraulic Modeling (Sanitary & Stormwater)
- Sidewalk and Street Improvements
- Pavement Assessment
- Municipal Building Generator Replacements
- Municipal Plan Review
- Funding Procurement
- Planning Studies and Reports
- Design Calculations
- Prepare Construction Cost Estimates
- Prepare Construction Drawings in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Revit
- Prepare Technical Specifications
- Review Regulatory Requirements and Permitting
- Utility Coordination
- Field Work (as needed)
- Motivated, wanting to learn and grow in profession.
- A strong sense of professional accountability.
- Ability to work effectively both individually and in a team environment.
- Have exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant field.
- Successful Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE) required
- Professional Engineering (PE) License preferred (or plans to take the exam within 12 months of hire)
- Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D (Post-Degree Experience Preferred)
- Relevant experience water/wastewater design required.
- Experience using Revit is preferred.
- Experience with processing modeling software is preferred.
