Overview:We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Automation Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting automation systems, with an emphasis on Allen-Bradley PLC programming and integration. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in industrial automation, a hands-on approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:Program, configure, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix, etc.).Assist with the integration of new automation equipment and control systems into existing operations.Support commissioning activities, including functional testing and startup of automated systems.Develop and maintain documentation, including logic diagrams, wiring schematics, and program backups.Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to resolve automation issues.Provide remote and on-site technical support for automation systems.Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and industry regulations.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize equipment performance and reliability. Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Oil and Gas Automation experience required.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; 2-year degree in Instrumentation or Automation Technology preferred.Experience working with RTUs, analog/discrete instrumentation, and communication protocols (serial, Ethernet) * Experience with Allen Bradley programming required.Strong knowledge of Function Block, Ladder Logic, and Structured Text programming * Must live in Hobbs, NM, Denver City, or Seminole, TX area. Housing is not provided for this role.
  • Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug, hair follicle, MVR, agility and fit for duty.
  • Physical Requirements - Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
