Hispanic-Serving InstitutionThe Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, Lubbock TX, is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor to join our dynamic and growing faculty. Candidates must have a terminal degree related to Laboratory-Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART). Successful candidates will have expertise in the field of clinical ART and will work with the Laboratory and our Reproductive Endocrinology Division as we expand our infertility services. Candidates will also have teaching and research opportunities and the support of a longstanding clinical and research program. - Perform all embryology and andrology skills necessary to maintain the operation of the ART Laboratory, including both ICSI and embryo biopsy.
- Maintain and perform maintenance on all ART laboratory equipment, including daily QC and QM tasks.
- Work a flexible work schedule to maintain the services of the ART Laboratory.
- Assist the laboratory director in maintaining al regulatory requirements of the ART Lab.
- Train students, residents, and staff in any and all of the above.
- Lecture students and residents as assigned by the department chair or laboratory directory on subjects in his/her expertise.
- Serve as a mentor to students and residents for research projects as assigned by the laboratory director.
- Participate in collaborative research of the department's laboratory as assigned by the lab director
- Encouraged to develop independent research as long as research efforts do not negatively impact clinical and teaching responsibilities.
- Extensive training and expertise in clinical laboratory techniques of Assisted Reproductive Technologies (ART).
- Proven success rate in ART.
- Ph.D. or equivalent degree..
