
Lead Data Engineer

- Project initiatives and team collaboration
- Mentor new software engineers in the team
- Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs
- Lead building monthly data assets and designing data pipelines
- Coordinate with other teams as part of a larger data-sharing system
- Understand business needs, and write clear user and technical documentation
- Research and introduce new solutions and technologies, contributing to Snowflake Native App development
- Use Agile methodologies and AI tools for rapid feature releases
- Guide best practices throughout the development lifecycle: develop, review, and deliver with CI/CD using industry standard practices
- Participate in quality assurance and automated testing
- Resolve production issues, participate in on-call support, onboard clients, and communicate with client teams
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
- 6+ years in software development
- Database fundamentals, SQL skills and understanding of relational and non-relational data models
- Expertise with object-oriented programming languages (Java and Python)
- Expertise of big data platforms/warehouses (Snowflake preferred, Hadoop a plus)
- Proficient in Agile Development, Vibe Coding, Issue Tracking (JIRA), code repositories (Git, Bitbucket), SDLC, testing methodologies, and continuous integration
- Expertise with cloud technologies (AWS preferred, GCP, Azure)
- Knowledge of data processing workflows (Airflow, Snowflake streams/tasks)
- Experience with data structures, algorithms, distributed systems
