
Project Accountant

- Manage cash flow for development projects, including receivables, advances, repayments, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare budget-to-actual reports for housing development and leadership review.
- Track and report on developer fees and project budgets.
- Review and process project invoices, journal entries, and draw requests.
- Support funder reporting requirements and cost certifications for new construction and rehabilitation projects.
- Provide schedules, trial balances, and responses for audits.
- Assist with general ledger close and account reconciliations as needed.
- Monitor and improve project accounting systems and processes; train staff as needed.
- Contribute to organizational events and community engagement activities as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Experience in real estate development and/or construction accounting.
- Affordable housing experience is a plus.
- Proven background in development GL accounting.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly.
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with at least one enterprise-level accounting and/or construction software system.
This position offers an annual salary between $75,000-$87,000 in addition to a full benefits package.About our Search Firm:
