
Electrical/Computer Engineering Internship or Co-op

- Collaborate with leading engineers in the field of automation and robotics on a close-knit team
- Test and troubleshoot prototype circuit boards and electronic assemblies used in our motor drives and motion controllers
- Work with Altium Designer to make changes to existing circuits or design new sub-circuits within a larger system
- Conduct tests to verify that new firmware features are implemented correctly
- Debug firmware problems found in our motor drives and implement fixes for them
- Make improvements to existing firmware features or develop new sub-modules in collaboration with other engineers
- Altium Designer PCB design software
- Analog and digital circuit design
- Digital signal processing techniques and feedback control systems
- Embedded software development using C or C++
- FPGA development using the AMD/Xilinx Vivado Design Suite
- Hardware description languages such as VHDL or Verilog
- Object oriented programming with C++
- Software development environments such as Microsoft Visual Studio, Eclipse, or Texas Instruments Code Composer Studio
- Tools such as the Git version control system and Atlassian Jira issue and project tracking software
- Eligible students are those currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science (BS) or Master of Science (MS) degree program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field from an ABET accredited college or university
- Currently accepting applications for Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors that plan to attend graduate school
- Must maintain a 3.25 GPA or above.
- Experience using basic electronic test instruments such as a multimeter, oscilloscope, and logic analyzer
- Strong programming skills
