- Plan, design, deploy, and maintain the organization's network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Monitor and analyze network performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing enhancements accordingly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of network systems with other IT systems.
- Implement and manage firewalls, VPNs, and other network security measures to safeguard the organization's information.
- Assist with the configuration and maintenance of routers, switches, wireless access points, and other network hardware.
- Document network configurations, changes, and issue resolutions clearly and in detail.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in network technologies, recommending upgrades or improvements as needed.
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and tools.
- Hands-on experience with configuring and managing Cisco, Juniper, or similar hardware.
- Solid understanding of firewalls, network security solutions, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with cloud networking infrastructure is a plus (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Wireshark, or Nagios.
- Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent certification are highly desired.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of SD-WAN technology and implementation.
- Experience with VoIP systems and network support for unified communications.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for network automation.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in network engineering roles.
