
Electric Vehicle Charging PM Field Technician III

- Perform regularly scheduled checks on charging stations, including visual inspections, cleaning, checking power supply, and inspecting cables and connectors.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with charging stations, including electrical, mechanical, and software problems. This can involve checking faulty cables, addressing communication failures, configuring network devices, and fixing hardware issues like screens and plugs.
- Assessing potential locations for new charging station installations, considering factors like space, power requirements, and potential hazards.
- Replacing faulty components, running diagnostics to pinpoint issues, and logging field activity for documentation.
- Installing updates to ensure charging station compatibility with technology and optimal performance.
- Adhering to safety protocols and industry standards, including those related to high voltage systems.
- Maintaining accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and service logs.
- Working with other technicians, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations and service delivery.
- Strong understanding of electrical circuits, troubleshooting skills, and familiarity with electronics.
- Knowledge of different charging technologies (EV Charging Savvy, AC/DC conversion, communication protocols, smart charging features).
- Proficiency in using specialized diagnostic tools and interpreting error codes.
- Ability to work with hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Thorough understanding of safety protocols when working with high-voltage systems.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and potentially customers.
- Associate's degree or certification in a relevant technical field (preferred - not needed)
- Knowledge of electric vehicle charging systems, electric vehicle technology, and electrical systems.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues effectively.
- Self-starter with a proactive attitude and adaptability to start-up environments.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license, with a clean driving record and ability to travel 75% daily.
- Pass a pre-employment background check of 7 years, pass 3 year motor vehicle record check, and drug screen.
- Need to travel for training in Carencro, LA for 1 week.
