We are seeking a responsible and caring School Bus Attendant to join our team. The School Bus Attendant will assist the bus driver in ensuring the safety and well-being of students during their bus ride. This role involves supervising students, assisting with boarding and exiting the bus, and ensuring a safe and orderly environment on the bus.Responsibilities:
  • Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus safely.
  • Ensure students are seated and wearing seatbelts if applicable.
  • Monitor student behavior and maintain a safe and orderly environment on the bus.
  • Provide assistance to students with special needs.
  • Communicate with the bus driver regarding any issues or concerns.
  • Assist in emergency situations following established protocols.
  • Ensure the bus is clean and presentable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the bus driver or transportation supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with children is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and patient in stressful situations.
  • Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures.
  • Ability to work early mornings and afternoons.
  • A background check will be required for this position.
