- Operate equipment safely and efficiently by utilizing equipment within its designed parameters
- Operate asphalt saw, concrete saw, chain saw and other power tools to remove asphalt and debris
- Traffic control, including flagging and set-up of signs, cones and barriers
- Operate water truck, oil distributors and other equipment as instructed
- Perform underground adjustments (i.e. manholes, catch basins)
- Measure, mark, paint and stake per measurements for grade and pave operations
- Load, unload from work truck and clean tools and equipment as needed
- Move and deliver tools, equipment and materials to locations throughout the job site
- Shovels, rakes and compacts materials
- Sets up security and silt fencing
- Performs demolition work using jackhammer and other tools and equipment
- May operate equipment
- Drives company vehicle to and around jobsites (must have driver’s license)
- Helps with setting grade (measuring, marking and hammering stakes)
- Directs and spots vehicles and equipment around the job site
- Load, unload from work truck and clean tools and equipment
- Routinely assist other members of the work force in different areas of production
- Cut, lay and grout pipe
- Sledgehammer knockouts
- Dig and grade rock
- Use rigging to set pipe and MH
- Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions
- Other tasks and duties as assigned to meet business needs

- Must have current US Authorization to work or ability to obtain without company assistance prior to start date.
- Previous related experience in the construction field is a plus but not required.
- The employee is frequently required to sit, climb, and use hands to signal and handle equipment.
- The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, and reach with hands and arms above their shoulders.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move anywhere up to 50-75 lbs.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions; and extreme cold and/or heat.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
- Primarily work 8 – 12 hours per day 5 days per week.
