- Set up for functions to include chairs, tables, draping tables, setting silverware, folding napkins, preparing drinks and put out table centerpieces.
- Prepare and organize equipment and supplies for events.
- Interact and serve guests according to banquet orders / timing.
- Service includes picking up food from the back hall, carrying trays to function location, serving food and clearing the food from the tables.
- Present and describe menu items to guests, provide recommendations, and accommodate dietary restrictions.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, bartenders, stewards, bussers, hostess, and other servers to ensure smooth service while maintaining a positive work environment.
- Clear tables, removing dishes, glassware, silverware, and resetting tables for next event.
- Break down to include bussing tables, putting away dirty linen, and centerpieces, vacuuming.
- Cleaning of back hall and organizing of storer rooms.
- Maintain open communication with management and other employees.
- Be well organized and efficient.
- General side work, including but not limited to cleaning, polishing, and vacuuming.
- Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by supervisor or manager on duty.
- Help in other areas of the restaurant, including hostess, steward, or other.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year food and beverage experience, preferably within a catering environment.
- Wine, Beer, Specialty Drink, and Food experience required.
- High volume experience.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Pleasant, outgoing, engaging personality.
- Excellent communication skills.
- RBS certificate and San Bernardino County Food Handler’s Certificate required or must be obtained.
- Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Must be able to adhere to a flexible working schedule.
- Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.
