- Lead the development of control systems databases and programs, focusing on lower and mid-level systems utilizing Tridium Niagara.
- Support initial system point-to-point commissioning activities and troubleshoot network issues as they arise.
- Use computer hardware and software to support and execute pre-functional testing of system software code, ensuring it aligns with the design sequence of operations.
- Participate in the final systems functional testing, including standards compliance, third-party integrations, LEED, and Title 24 testing as required.
- Exhibit knowledge across multiple vendor software versions and effectively work with third-party integrations of other vendor products, systems, and protocols.
- Take a lead role in field coordination of installing subcontractors and attend project coordination and commissioning meetings as necessary.
- Lead end-user/customer system training on assigned projects and manage the systematic project turnover from construction phase to the Service team.
- Assist Design Engineers in validating sequence of operations development against design build and/or contract requirements.
- Coordinate with project staff to ensure accurate and timely recording of project costs, including time sheets and daily reports.
- Manage field time and budgets for assigned projects, providing leadership for the field team on mid-sized projects requiring multiple team members.
- Communicate effectively with team members regarding project issues, obstacles, and information needs.
- Complete OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 safety training classes and practice safe work habits, participating in the office safety program and that of all assigned projects.
- Coach, mentor, and develop junior-level Systems Software Engineers.
- Current Technician with proficiency and in-depth knowledge of Tridium Niagara.
- High level of experience in computer skills and understanding of computer-operated systems, including network types.
- Strong capabilities in database programming, custom graphics development, and BMS installation.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with project management and engineering staff for the successful completion of projects.
- Commitment to safety, with successful completion of OSHA safety training preferred.
