Hourly Rate/Salary: $74,000 - $99,000/year (depending on experience)Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join a dynamic healthcare team in Buckeye Lake, OH. This role involves delivering precise radiation treatments, collaborating with oncologists, and ensuring patient safety through adherence to protocols and advanced technology.Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for accurately administering photon and electron radiation and assisting in
- Accurately administers radiation therapy treatments in accordance with prescription and instructions given by the radiation oncologist.
- Performs simulations in preparation of radiation therapy treatments
- Uses proper documentation to verify patient’s treatment and orders followed through.
- Participates in the assessment of patient needs.
- Effectively and safely operates all imaging, therapeutic and related medical equipment competently.
- Prioritize work in order to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Participates in providing education and information to patients and their families.
- Demonstrates a willingness and interest to cross train in other areas to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.
- Education: Completion of an AMA-accredited Radiation Therapy Program.
- Licensure:
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (RTT).
- Ohio state licensure in Radiation Therapy (LRTT).
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of Radiation Therapy experience.
- Proficiency with TrueBeam, Trilogy, and Aria is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in photon/electron radiation delivery, brachytherapy assistance, and simulation.
- Competency in operating imaging/therapeutic equipment.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, patient-centered communication, and teamwork.
