JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILSJob Summary:Provides education and training to foster professional development for clinical and non-clinical staff by performing a variety of duties that may include some or all of the following: creating, leading and/or facilitating orientation & onboarding sessions; and performing skills competency training and/or ongoing education & training programs as required for positions within the organization. Fosters collaborative partnerships with leadership to build effective education and training programs that satisfy regulatory requirements and result in positive outcomes. Maintains subject matter knowledge and uses research and evidence-based practices to build effective education and/or training programs. Participates in education and training courses, seminars, and/or workshops to enhance his or her own professional development in training and education.Education:Position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) if incumbent performs the full-scope of the position. Position requires a minimum of an Associate’s Degree if the incumbent only performs one targeted educational activity.Registration/Certification/Licensure:Registered Nurse - State of MarylandCertification in Nursing Professional Development encouragedExperience:Position requires 3-5 years related experience.Other Requirements:Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.Effectively communicates with all patient populations and staff by implementing organization-wide communication techniques as a daily practice.Effectively advocates for quality patient safety and satisfaction as a daily practice.Ability to use Microsoft Office Products and other software applications to effectively accomplish job responsibilities.Ability to work autonomously and effectively prioritize a multitude of tasks.
