Senior Superintendent Commercial ConstructionWe are seeking a highly experienced Senior Superintendent to oversee and manage the field operations of large-scale commercial construction projects, typically valued at $50 million or more. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record delivering complex, high-profile projects safely, on time, and within budget. This leadership role is critical to the successful execution of fast-paced construction schedules and maintaining superior quality standards on site.The Senior Superintendent will serve as the primary point of contact for all on-site activities, leading project execution from preconstruction through completion and closeout.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead on-site construction operations for large commercial projects, ensuring safety, schedule, budget, and quality goals are met or exceeded.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed site logistics plans, work schedules, and look-ahead plans.
  • Supervise daily field activities, coordinate subcontractors, and enforce project specifications and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular progress meetings, safety briefings, and quality inspections.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to manage procurement, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Monitor and report on daily progress, delays, workforce levels, and site conditions.
  • Ensure strict adherence to OSHA and company safety policies.
  • Resolve field conflicts, RFIs, and coordination issues in real time.
  • Serve as the face of the company on site, cultivating positive relationships with clients, design teams, inspectors, and trade partners.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in commercial construction with at least 5 years in a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent role.
  • Successful management of ground-up or major renovation projects valued at $50 million+ (corporate offices, mixed-use, retail, hospitality, education, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling (Primavera P6, MS Project), safety, and quality control practices.
  • Experience managing large subcontractor teams on complex, multi-phase jobs.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and lead field personnel.
  • Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, and other construction management tools.
  • OSHA 30 certification required.
  • Bachelor s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent field experience accepted.
