- Process all customer transactions accurately and timely including sales orders, inquiries, quotes or returns
- Obtain accurate information relating to shipment dates and expected dates of delivery
- Educate customers about product features
- Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing satisfaction and resolve complaints
- Fill request for product and company related information
- Communicate unexpected increases or decreases in demands for product to production
- Maintain proficiency in using personal computer, including company software, SAP and Microsoft Office
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Present a professional image at all times to customers, both in person and over the phone
- Support field sales efforts as necessary
- Perform other duties as assigned
- SAP experience a plus
- Effective listening and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Negotiation and phone skills
- Technical expertise and knowledge of company products
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- High regard for attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to handle difficult customers with diplomacy and tact
- Must have excellent time management skills
- Team player but can work independently
- Proficiency with computer operating systems, to include Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
- Desire to transition to an Outside Sales role is a must
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant experience required
