My client is seeking an Engineering Design Supervisor to lead a team of designers in developing innovative heating solutions, ensuring projects meet performance, safety, and quality standards. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibility to drive product development, continuous improvement, and successful product launches.The Design Engineering Supervisor will report into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for:
  • Lead and supervise a team of designers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management.
  • Oversee the design and development of new heating products and enhancements to existing product lines.
  • Ensure all designs meet safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Marketing to support product development and continuous improvement.
  • Manage project timelines, resources, and priorities to ensure successful product launches.
  • Drive innovation by researching and implementing new design methodologies, materials, and technologies.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, design reviews, and project updates to leadership.

  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in product design, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team leadership role.
  • Strong proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and heating system design is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and deliver results on time.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
