Job Description Summary The Chemical Controls Technician will be responsible for safe day-to-day Chemical operations in a PSM-Compliant Chemical unit.Job DescriptionJob DescriptionQualifications/RequirementsHigh School Diploma/GEDMinimum of 5 years’ Controls Operator experience in a Chemical, Refinery, or Power Plant environmentAbility and willingness to work off/varied shift/weekends, days, nights, holidays as requiredEssential ResponsibilitiesOperate process units to produce chemical intermediates for aviation Ceramic Matrix Composites raw materialsOperate a distributed and automated control system with the ability to make accurate and timely decisions on our your own and as a teamMonitor various chemical process measurements and respond to deviationsConduct routine maintenance and operation of process systems and equipment across assigned process zone and occasionally in cross functional areasServe as a resource to other technicians in trouble shooting and identifying equipment issuesConduct work practices with safety and quality in mind in a 24/7 production environmentConducting Safe Work permitting / JSA, Lock out/Tag out, any other permitsComplete required business and regulatory process documentationMaintain a safe, clean, and organized work environmentBe responsible for ensuring facility equipment and inventory/consumable levels are accurateParticipate and actively engage in quality and continuous improvement projectsCommunicate effectively with peers, management, & external stakeholdersUtilize business software such as MES/ and quality/EHS softwareOther duties as assignedAbility and willingness to train new and current employees across all rolesDesired CharacteristicsMechanical/Electrical aptitudeAbility to analyze problems, identify issues and provide efficient solutionsBasic Computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong organizational skillsAbility to handle diverse activities simultaneouslyAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to work in a tobacco free environmentAbility to communicate effectively and adhere to team normsAbility to mentor/ train others effectivelyThis role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
