This is a full time, exempt position.Description:
The Modernization Inventory Lead is responsible for creating and implementing a legacy inventory strategy, processes, training and warehousing. They will manage warehouse processes, optimal inventory quantities and report all legacy inventory risk/issues and disposition opportunities to Program Director.The lead role will coordinate with site resources and vendors to collect, store and/or distribute spare parts generated by the project execution phase. They will work with the CapEx project manager for understanding of schedule and scope of parts to be generated for recovery to warehouse or distribution to other sites.All training of warehouse processes and procedures will be the responsibility of Inventory Lead. They will interact with Operations, Process Automation and CapEx colleagues during the training process. Providing a documented strategy, training plan and process flow is a responsibility of this position.The Lead role will proactively seek opportunities to optimize standardization defined processes. They will be responsible to spot check inventories and process effectiveness.Position will report directly to Director of Inventory to maintain global standards and alignment and Asset Sales but will be dotted line to Program Director for all daily assignments and deliverables.The ADM Modernization Program [Program Aurora] is an ADM Operations Initiative to modernize our strategic facilities through Automation and Optimization. Utilizing technology and ADM expertise, we will reduce unplanned downtime, support safety initiatives, increase OEE and standardize our processes across our business units. The Program is an enabler for ADM's Digital Transformation.Job Requirements:
- Understands and is accountable for full compliance with safety and other EHS requirements.
- Ownership of the strategy, documentation and training of legacy inventory processes
- Ability to work with local site resources for required information regarding generated inventory
- Ability to analyze master program schedule for development of warehouse strategy and site selection across NA regionally
- Create standard process practices to be followed and implement corrective measures when deviation occurs
- Recommend the use of company and contract resources equally to support projects deliverables and timelines
- Ability to work well within groups or with minimal supervision to meet project goals
- Effectively communicate process updates and provide suggestions for improvements
- Ability to effectively coach and develop other colleagues
- Strategic mindset for critical decision making
- The candidate must be capable of working in extreme temperatures. Must have the ability to climb stairs, lift and move a minimum of 40 pounds, and sit and stand for long periods of time. Should be able to work in confined spaces and heights.
- Occasional company travel required, up to 20%
- 5+ years of experience working with inventory processes
- SME in Maximo or SAP
- Strong communication and mentoring skills
- Working with cross-functional teams to achieve deliverables
- Knowledge of ADM Business Unit Segments and Sub-Segments
