- Monitor supply chain KPI’s, including Supplier OTD (Past due), product defects (NCR), and waste
- Communicate engineering and manufacturing specifications to supplier technical teams
- Serve as back-up to the Supplier Quality Engineer in managing problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers to eliminate recurrence of non‐conforming product
- Serve as back-up to the Supplier Quality Engineer to resolve supplier technical issues in a timely manner to ensure continuity of supply
- Serve as back-up to the Supplier Quality Engineer with supplier performance improvement projects to increase supplier capability; projects may include process/workflow analysis, value stream mapping, process capability and throughput analysis, 5S and Kaizen events
- Perform quality and performance data analysis; provide to management team to support Business/Management Review meetings
- Document minutes during Business/Management Review Meetings
- Lead activities with stakeholders for root cause analysis, FMEA, and other quality and risk management tools to investigate trends and develop corrective and preventive action plans
- Document minutes for the CAPA meetings
- Perform audits to verify implementation and effectiveness of corrective and preventive action plans
- Review and audit procedures, and performs internal Quality System and quality assurance audits to ensure actions taken are effective while maintaining continued compliance with applicable regulations and standards (ISO9001/AS9100, FAA, DOD)
- Lead Quality Systems audits (e.g., escorting auditors)
- Audit internal processes and procedures to establish compliance to current, applicable requirements
- Guide operational departments as needed with technical writing & approvals of QMS documents (e.g., procedures, work instructions, forms)
- Provide education and guidance as needed to management and staff for Quality Systems processes, quality assurance activities, and compliance with applicable regulations and standards
- Conduct new hire and ongoing Quality Systems training (ISO9001/AS9100)
- Regular scheduled attendance
- Indicate the percentage of time spent traveling
- Associate's degree in a technical field; or 2 years related experience and/or training in manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- BS in management, technical, or related field, or demonstrated relevant and equivalent industry experience preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years related experience in a quality systems or continuous improvement related capacity
- Strong knowledge and understanding of FAA conformity/airworthiness regulations and procedures a plus
- Quality/supplier auditing experience a plus
- Previous management experience a plus
- Must have excellent organization skills and be able to work multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of collaboration at all levels
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand business situations, strategies, theory, processes, management, budgeting, and operations
- Demonstrates high critical thinking and reasoning skills and strong attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment that requires ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, Access, and Share Point
- Previous experience with database/software configuration
- ASQ-CQA Preferred
- Six Sigma Quality Certification a plus
