This work lies at the core of NVIDIA Omniverse, our platform for developing OpenUSD applications, using APIs and SDKs. We are looking for software engineers who are passionate about pushing the limits of what is possible with the best GPUs and who share our forward-looking vision of real-time rendering using path-tracing. In this position you will work on this vision as part of our team, along some of the world leading experts in real-time path-tracing. Your work will impact a wide range of software projects both within and outside NVIDIA, enabling software developers to bring high-fidelity real-time visuals to realistic simulations for all sorts of applications: from synthetic ground truth generation to train autonomous robots and vehicles, to beautiful product configurators that stream from the cloud to any device, to large scale industrial digital twins never before possible.What you'll be doing:Implement new rendering techniques using real-time path-tracing based on NVIDIA RTX technologyImprove the performance, quality and fidelity of the rendererEnsure that the rendering techniques are robust and stableCollaborate with others in the team, participating in system and algorithm definition, as well as providing and receiving feedback via code reviewsWhat We Need To See:BS or higher degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)10+ years of relevant work experienceUp-to-date knowledge of real-time and offline rendering algorithms and research using path-tracingUnderstanding of C++, including multi-threaded programming techniquesExperience programming GPUs with APIs such as Direct3D 12 (including DirectX Raytracing), Vulkan, CUDA, OpenCL and OptiXExperience writing, debugging, profiling and optimizing GPU rendering code, ideally using GPU shading languages (HLSL, GLSL, Slang)Knowledge of GPU architecture and how to optimize for itAbility to work well in a large team of hardworking individuals who respect each otherStrong will to take on any challenge, diving into existing code and doing what is needed to accomplish your jobWidely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers, NVIDIA offers highly competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package.
