At E2, we value safety, innovation and collaboration, and we are dedicated to excellence. Overview:Responsible for creating diagrams for Gas Utility Pipeline projects. The Piping CAD Designer will be responsible for preparing layout and design of systems using Aveva E3D / Aveva P&ID modeling software. This position will function under the direction of Lead Designer. This position is responsible for understanding and completing drawings in accordance with client specifications. Responsibilities:
  • Prepare layout and design of oil & gas piping design systems using PRIMARILY AVEVA (P&ID, E3D, ect). Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D software also highly desired.
  • Producing quality piping design layouts, orientation of process equipment and interconnecting piping.
  • Generating Piping Line List and Tie-In list when required.
  • Assist engineers and designers in resolving piping design issues.
  • Calculating layouts of rights-of-way and/or street dimensions and angles.
  • Generating Iso-Metric Drawings using AVEVA E3D and/or Plant 3D.
  • Constructing dimensional relationships of one part to another and a relationship of various parts to entire project, utilizing knowledge of engineering practices and mathematics.
  • Creating a preliminary and/or final sketch of proposed drawing, using computer-assisted design/drafting equipment.
  • Incorporate redlines provided by the project engineer.
  • Ability to validate design information (material spec, constructability, etc.).
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
Qualifications:
  • 1 to 5 years Aveva E3D (formerly PDMS) and Aveva P&ID experience.
  • Designer with SoCalGas experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of pipe and fittings, valves, and piping specialties preferred.
  • Some knowledge and experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D.

Wage Data Per State Requirements:Salary range for this position is $65,000 - $95,000. The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.
