VCA Loomis Basin Veterinary Clinic is looking to add Outpatient Assistants to our growing General Practice team! At VCA Loomis Basin, Outpatient Assistants play a vital role in supporting our primary care veterinarians and ensuring a smooth process for our clients and patients. The primary responsibilities including assisting the veterinarian in the room and facilitating the flow of the appointment from check-in to check-out. Veterinary experience is a must.The ideal candidate will be reliable, motivated, and a true team player. Attention to detail is vital, as this can make or break a client’s experience with us. It is important that our team members have fun while they work, so if you are slightly goofy, you will fit in well!VCA Loomis Basin is a 24/7 emergency, specialty, and general practice animal hospital located in Loomis, CA. We offer Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Specialty Surgery, and ICU among other general practice surgeries and appointments. We have a longstanding relationship with our community and strive to be there for our clients when they need us.   • Provide professional and courteous service to our clients
  • Assist with rooming clients and patients
  • Enter visit orders and notes
  • Obtain patient vitals
  • Facilitate veterinarian needs and assist in administering treatments
  • Assist with filling medications
  • Obtain and submit lab samples
Qualifications:
  • At least two years in the veterinary field or related experience
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic typing and computer skills
  • Must be available for weekend, holiday and/or evening rotations
Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
