This includes scheduling of product, ensuring that production orders are on the floor and that product flows from molding to finished assembly ready for shipment. Lead the team and provide direction to operators for maximum effectiveness and optimal task methods, which includes visual inspection operations, operating equipment, and automated operations on all shifts. Ensures compliance with BD quality systems, policies, procedures, and best practices, and all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies, and procedures. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function. Ability to read, write, and converse in English. Willing and able to uphold BD ValuesDuties/Responsibilities:Meets with incoming Productions Lead(s) for their assigned area prior to start of shift to ensure operations are not impacted by shift change. Assures associates are communicating with incoming operators.Ensures operators are documenting detailed shift information on PAB boardsAttends Tier 1 meetings daily and leads Tier 1 meetings in the absence of a Production LeaderAttends Tier 2 meeting daily and is prepared to report on the operations of their lines of responsibilityVisually inspects areas of responsibility to ensure they are safe, clean, and organized per CILT’s and other checklistsInitiates and drives AQL events to completion with Operations, Quality, and Technical resourcesReviews operator quality documents to ensure completeness and accuracyResponsible for inventory accuracy by auditing raw material LP’s and finished pallet confirmations to ensure they’re being issued appropriately and makes corrections as neededAssembles work order lot packets and ensures that a sufficient number of work orders are available on the lines and in the appropriate order according to batch numberEnsures lines are prepared for upcoming batch changes and changeovers by ensuring appropriate materials and resources are ready and availableAssists with the training of associatesProvides coverage for operators during breaksContacts the appropriate technician to resolve equipment issues and escalates as required by the Downtime Reaction PlanStocks lines with the necessary Tool Crib supplies and SAP materialsReports all safety, quality, facility, performance, and behavioral deviations to managementActively participate and support continuous improvement activities – drive 5S standardizationAdjust production equipment to produce parts which conform to quality specificationsPerform changeovers, line clearance and cleaningAble to perform all jobs in operation and operate all respective machinery at a production rate equal to or higher than the established standards.Assist the Quality Engineer with audits, running tests, completing process change checklist and other Quality duties as assignedProvide leadership to the area, attend scheduling meetings and manage work orders for the area.Other duties as required to support the needs of the businessEducation:High School Diploma or GED requiredExperience:Signed off on at least two PosiFlush operator positions requiredOne year PosiFlush manufacturing experience requiredTwo years manufacturing experience preferredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Understand scheduling process, understand daily requirement to meet schedules and budgetAbility to operate Quality gaugesMust be able to prioritize workloadEffective oral and written communicationAbility to develop and work with teamsProficient decision making abilityMust become certified to perform label verification within the first 3 months requiredMust become certified in at least three PosiFlush operator positions within the first year requiredAbility to maintain accurate recordsPCP Level: 3For certain roles at BD, employment is contingent upon the Company’s receipt of sufficient proof that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
