- Coordinate the development and implementation of the annual operating plan, setting specific measurable targets and KPI by department and business unit to track weekly, monthly and YTD results vs plan and previous year, including long term company goals and objectives.
- Oversee Orchard and Factory Processing, Retail and Area Sales operations to determine and efficiently achieve yield and production goals in volume and quality to produce inventory to meet customer demand.
- Coordinate and integrate economic, environmental and social sustainability practices in agriculture aligned with certifications to include Fair Trade USA, Rain Forest Alliance, etc.
- Deliver P&L targets and drive the company to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with the executive management team of parent company to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes and personnel designed to accommodate the growth objectives of the company.
- Communicate clearly and frequently the operational status, business issues and results to the SVP- Supply Chain, the financial results and practices through the company Controller to the Corporate Controller and personnel opportunities through the Sr HR Manager to the VP of HR.
- Develop, organize, implement, direct, coordinate and control procedures, policies and practices to safely, innovatively and cost-effectively produce and distribute our premium coffee to ever-expanding markets.
- Lead and manage to ensure that the company’s mission and values are promoted and sustained.
- Spearhead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
- Motivate and lead a high-performance management team; attract, recruit and retain required members of the executive team not currently in place; mentor others as part of company’s management career development program.
- Ensures the workplace safety and well-being of employees, visitors and environment within the organization through the effective implementation of safety, health and environmental programs, policies and procedures and compliance with all regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis, budget and resource development, and strategic planning.
- At least 10 years of strong operational experience in various management/leadership roles in a variety of businesses and industries, preferably agribusiness related, including at least 5 years in a senior management role.
- Bachelor’s of Science degree preferably in agronomy or related field. MBA a plus.
- Production agricultural background desired with specific experience in tropical crop production.
- Flexible and able to multitask, can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions, demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a diverse workplace environment.
- Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team.
- Exceptional communication skills that span a variety of audiences.
