OverviewNow hiring a Supervisor Food Services.As a Supervisor Food Services, you will assist Food Service Managers in planning, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating the effectiveness of work activities in the Food Service Area. Maintain good relationships with peers, and assure a quality product is delivered. Fill in for the Food Service manager in case of absence. Coordinate resources of the assigned area to achieve quality and customer satisfaction. Help train new employees on specific job duties. Ideal Candidate:Minimum two years experience in Food Service related field with the aptitude to be cross-trained in several disciplines.Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Minimum two years experience in Food Service related field with the aptitude to be cross-trained in several disciplines.
  • One year previous supervisory experiences preferred. Trade or vocational school in any of the following fields preferred: Business, Nutrition or Dietetics, or Culinary field.
  • Good analytical skills, problem solving skills, communication skills, and interpersonal skills. Computer skills are necessary for many job duties.
Responsibilities
  • Perform duties of Food and Nutrition Services as needed.
  • Act as a role model for all aspects of Food and Nutrition for staff to look up to and see as a training source.
  • Provide leadership and serve as a role model for Food and Nutrition Associates.
  • Help Food and Nutrition Associates establish priorities.
  • Monitor quality and service of work performed in their assigned area
  • Help instruct, cross train, motivate, coach, and guide Food and Nutrition Associates.
  • Resolve daily issues presented in daily operations.
  • Work to assure that Presbyterians areas that Food and Nutrition supports are having their needs met. Examples include patients receiving their meals, catering functions, cafeteria functions, etc.
  • Attend department meetings.
  • Know, understand, and adhere to PHS and Department Policies and procedures.
  • Possess knowledge of and assure compliance with standards for Infection Control, EFPA, OSHA, JCAHO, and Health Department Administrative Code.
  • Respond to Code Red and Assist on Code Red Drills.
