A sleep technician can provide supervision of a sleep new hire.POSITION QUALIFICATIONSMinimum EducationHigh school DiplomaMinimum Experience6 months of direct patient care experienceRequired Registration/License/CertificationBLS within 90 daysPreferred EducationSuccessful completion of a sleep technology program,(ASTEP) associated with a state licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility.ORA minimum of six months of experience as a sleep trainee with documented proficiency in all required competencies.ORHolds a Certified Polysomnographic Technician (CPSGT) credential or equivalent.Preferred Experience1-year experience working at an AASM accredited sleep centerPreferred Registration/License/CertificationBLSOther RequirementsN/A
