- Houston based General Contractor seeking an experinced Assistant Superitendent to join their growning team.
- Oversee all phases of K-12 construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and consultants to maintain project flow and accountability
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, track milestones, and adjust plans as needed to stay on target
- Review and approve submittals, RFIs, and change orders to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with project goals
- Monitor budget performance, control costs, and prepare regular financial forecasts and reports
- Ensure all construction activities comply with contract documents, codes, and school district standards
- Lead progress meetings with clients, field teams, and stakeholders to provide updates and resolve issues
- Collaborate with field staff to address construction challenges and implement effective solutions
- Oversee documentation processes including daily reports, punch lists, and project closeout materials
- Foster strong communication between the office, field teams, and school district personnel to ensure a smooth and successful project delivery
- 6+ years of experience managing commercial or K-12 construction projects from preconstruction through closeout - essential
- Proven ability to lead project teams, manage subcontractors, and maintain schedules and budgets - essential
- Familiarity with school construction standards, phased project delivery, and occupied campus work - preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills to manage stakeholders and resolve project issues - essential
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contracts - essential
- Experience with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project - preferred
- Understanding of construction safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe project environment - essential
- Ability to work collaboratively with field staff, clients, and design professionals across multiple project phases - essential
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field - preferred, but not required
- Detail-oriented and organized, with a proactive approach to managing documentation, schedules, and cost controls - essential
- Base salary between $110,000 and $130,000, depending on experience
