In this high-visibility role, you’ll drive the design and implementation of advanced manufacturing processes for complex, precision-stamped components used in life-changing medical technologies.We’re looking for an engineering innovator who thrives in fast-paced, high-stakes environments and has a passion for advancing production capabilities in neuro, cardiac rhythm management (CRM), and surgical applications.Your Impact:
- Lead the development of new products and manufacturing methods, from concept through validation, with a focus on progressive stamping and micro-fabrication.
- Champion DFM principles to ensure efficient, scalable, and high-yield production of components with demanding geometries and tolerances.
- Mentor and guide tooling engineers and prototyping teams to overcome technical barriers and deliver best-in-class solutions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, tooling, quality, and customer-facing teams to meet critical deadlines and product launch goals.
- Apply advanced tools such as FEA and other simulation techniques to validate performance, reliability, and manufacturability early in the design cycle.
- Drive vendor selection and onboarding for specialized tooling, stamping presses, and automation solutions aligned with production goals.
- Lead validation and installation of new equipment while building training frameworks for operational staff.
- Define testing protocols and inspection criteria that ensure conformance with performance specs, quality standards, and FDA regulations.
- Act as a technical lead on key customer programs—owning outcomes, managing timelines, and ensuring clear communication across stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related engineering field
- 7+ years of process engineering experience in a high-precision manufacturing environment
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with progressive stamping processes (required)
- Proven success launching complex medical components or implantable devices into production
- Ability to lead projects in ambiguous, fast-moving R&D environments with tight timelines
- Strong technical foundation in tooling design, material selection, FEA, and process optimization
- Familiarity with regulatory and validation protocols within medical device manufacturing
