As the Business Analytics Lead, you will be accountable for being a strategic thought partner to multiple stakeholders, driving data-driven decision making through the generation, interpretation, extraction and presentation of critical insights, strategy, and best practices to achieve business goals. In this position you will lead commercial analytics within a division of the US Plasma Derived Therapies (PDT) Business Unit focused on intravenous and subcutaneous immunoglobulin therapies and report to the Associate Director, US PDT Analytics Lead. Given the complexity and incomplete nature of PDT data flow across channels, the business analytics lead must be curious, creative, capable of thinking outside of the box, and willing to take risks to try new approaches to proactively design and lead innovative analytical methods utilizing multiple data sources to influence key decisions and business outcomes.How you will contribute:
  • Identify and define business issues and questions, define appropriate analytical approaches, identify source data, and conduct data analysis to develop deeper understanding of market and business performance
  • Develop and deliver high-impact presentations to leadership and cross functional partners leveraging analytics and insights to tell a cohesive and compelling story
  • Represent the PDT Strategy & Insights team and build our reputation among cross-functional teams through collaboration, transparent critical thinking, and strategic thought partnership
  • Create and deploy Tableau-based solutions and automated dashboards to enable efficient analysis of key performance indicators leveraging multiple data sources
  • Utilize SQL to execute data analyses to create a robust understanding of key business dynamics and performance drivers
  • Collaborate in building, enhancing, and maintaining data pipelines using SQL/Python to foster delivery of insightful, timely, and accurate information from numerous data sources
  • Manage external partnerships with 3rd party vendors whenever necessary in support of team outcomes
  • Train, guide, and mentor fellow colleagues and collaborators to foster continuous improvement and ensure business continuity
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical, quantitative, or scientific discipline Required. Master’s degree a plus.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in a pharmaceutical analytics role required; experience in rare diseases preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with data manipulation, exploratory data analysis, data visualization, regression-type analysis, and model interpretation to support hypothesis generation and reveal key insights required.
  • High degree of competence in claims data analysis (Komodo or Symphony); solid knowledge and hands-on experience with multiple data sources in addition to claims data such as IQVIA, Specialty Pharmacy dispense data, and Biological Distributor data preferred.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Tableau or other data visualization platform is required for success in this role.
  • Experience working with Databricks or other data intelligence platform and proficiency in Python for data management and process automation preferred.
  • Experience with primary market research and competitive intelligence preferred.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required.
