This position is responsible for performing the day-to-day operation of the Environmental Services Department.Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Housekeeper:
Supervises the performance of all Plant Operation Department team members through personal inspections of apartments and Health Center rooms, as assigned.
Assists in the recruitment of staff, training, evaluating and disciplining all Plant Operation Department team members.
Keeps required records, reports and studies.
Coordinates annual apartment cleanings with the Plant Operations Director.
Coordinates department functions with those of other departments.
Conducts inventories of all Department supplies, and places monthly orders for all Department supplies.
Coordinates the scheduling of all apartment cleaning and special cleaning projects
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
Two (2) years vocational or technical, or on-the-job building maintenance experience preferred.
Ability to understand and perform basic arithmetic measurements.
Must have a valid Illinois Driver's License.
Must have the ability to read, write and speak English.
Good oral and written communications skills are essential.
Prior supervisory experience in a retirement community, hotel or health care setting required, 2-5yrs.
Knowledge of EVS & Maintence and infection control procedures required.
Must be able to move throughout the building and grounds as needed throughout the day; must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. Good visual and hearing acuity required; good verbal communication skills required. May be exposed to communicable diseases, and blood and body fluids that may contain HIV and/or HBV. May be exposed to cleaning chemicals and offensive odors.Salary Range up to $55K Annually.The Roosevelt at Salt Creek fully embraces a culture of hospitality.
