( 2PM -10:30PM ) Full Time with Monday & Tuesday OFF. On the job paid training is provided as you learn the ins & outs of our ICIMS Hiring Dashboard, Payroll System ( "Dimensions" ) and Operational Procedures. Hiring responsibilities include filling Cashiers, Maintenance, Admins, Supervisors, & Shuttle PDOT & DOT Drivers Staff.The Human Resources Coordinator – Field DOT will plan, direct and coordinate Department of Transportation (DOT) driver recruitment efforts to include the onboarding of new hires as it relates to policies and procedures.
- Coordinate recruiting efforts by developing a pool of qualified candidates via attending job fairs and partnerships with area educational venues
- Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotion and employee benefits
- Support hiring and onboarding processes (e.g. scheduling interviews, administration of pre-employment background check and drug testing processes; completion of new hire paperwork; scheduling of new hire orientation, etc.)
- Review time cards for accuracy, update payroll system and file related paperwork, meeting the biweekly upload deadlines, review payroll checks for accuracy, print timecard and other payroll reports
- Interact with managers and employees to resolve payroll issues and provide information
- Process/track available employee paid benefit days, process FMLA Requests and related documents
- Review monthly union reports, if applicable
- Prepare Workers Compensation First Report of Injury Claims
- Perform filing and record maintenance for, but not limited to personnel, driver qualification files (DQF) in compliance with DOT rules/regulations and other employment related files, medical files, substance testing files, employment background files, criminal background files, inactive employee files and inactive applicant files
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3 to 5 years of experience in human resources or in operations, DOT experience preferred
- Prior experience working in a HR clerical capacity
- Supervisory experience, strong customer service skills
- Detail oriented, able to handle multiple tasks concurrently and consistently meet deadlines
- Able to communicate and work well at all levels
- Clear understanding of practices relating to the Company, DOT, OSHA and other local, state, and federal employment or transportation laws
- Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment; must be able to multi-task
