Position Summary:Hospital Opening April 2026 – Expected Start Date: October 2025Orlando Health’s newest hospital in Wesley Chapel, FMCOH Wiregrass Ranch Hospital, is seeking a Director of Quality Services to join the team ahead of our grand opening. This is a unique opportunity to help shape our hospital’s presence before we open our doors.The Director of Quality Services is responsible for overseeing the Quality department and all quality initiatives within the facility. This role requires a dynamic and innovative leader who will guide the facility in becoming a high-performing, quality-focused organization.About the RoleProvides leadership and support to activities, processes, and policies resulting in high quality patient care driven by system-wide clinical practices and standards. Works closely with the hospital’s nursing, medical staff, executives, and quality team to support the Orlando Health strategic vision for quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and all aspects of patient care that ties into the Orlando Health overall strategic plan and supports Orlando Health’s commitment to patient safety and best practice environment. Responsibilities:Essential Functions
  • Communicates corporate initiatives and expectations effectively to all team members and physicians
Partners with medical, nursing, allied health/support services leadership, and senior leadership to implement strategies focused on quality, safety, and serviceCollaborates with the performance improvement team and quality councils to identify and drive improvement opportunitiesResponsible for hospital progress on quality scorecards and Board metricsBuilds and maintains strong working relationships with medical staff, leadership teams, and allied health/support services leadersParticipates in integrating healthcare technology and information systems that support service needsEnsures compliance with all clinical regulatory standards (JCAHO, AHCA) at the hospital levelWorks collaboratively with the CQO to develop and implement the hospital-level strategic plan for quality and safetyPromotes a culture and practice environment centered on quality, safety, and regulatory complianceCreates a healthy and engaging work environment by fostering growth, challenge, and development for all team membersLeads workgroups to achieve success on hospital quality metricsPartners with the CQO and CFO to develop and manage the department budgetManages human resources functions including hiring, assignments, coaching, and performance counselingMaintains regular, punctual attendance in alignment with Orlando Health policies and applicable regulationsEnsures compliance with all Orlando Health policies and proceduresServes on committees related to quality and patient safety as appropriateProvides staff education and training on quality and patient safetyPrepares reports to support physicians, managers, and leadership in identifying opportunities for improvement and tracking progressMakes regular visits to hospital departments to promote a culture of quality and safety, act as a resource for staff, and identify opportunities for process improvement and enhanced patient safety. Qualifications:Education/Training
Master’s degree required in a clinical discipline, industrial engineering, or related field. MSN preferred.Licensure/Certification
Active nursing license preferred.Experience
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in leading patient care and quality initiatives in a healthcare institution.
