NICU | RN

• Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse – NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)
• Location: Midland, TX 79701 (Texas healthcare jobs)
• Employment Type: Travel/Locum Tenens
• Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 10/6/2025, End: 1/5/2026)
• Patient Ratios: 1:3
• Orientation: 36 hours
• Floating: May float to Mother Baby, Labor & Delivery (L&D), and Pediatrics units
• Weekend Coverage: 4 weekend shifts per 6-week period
• Charting System: Cerner (Cerner experience preferred)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1700 - $1820

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas or compact state; pending license accepted with submission, must be active before start)
• Minimum 3 years of recent NICU nursing experience required
• Current BLS, NRP, and NIHSS certifications required
• Experience with Cerner electronic health record system preferred
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions and declinations allowed)
• Ability to pass on-site drug screening

• Deliver expert clinical care to neonates and infants in Level II-IV NICU settings
• Perform advanced NICU procedures: ventilator management, APGAR scoring, arterial line management, blood product administration
• Support developmental care, breastfeeding, and family education for neonatal patients
• Manage central lines, chest tubes, and specialized NICU equipment (oscillators, CPAP, HFNC, etc.)
• Float as needed to Mother Baby, Labor & Delivery, and Pediatrics units
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, and Rapid Response Teams
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records using Cerner
