The GIS Analyst/Developer selected for this opportunity will gain key public sector experience in web application development that can effectively position you to pursue and obtain key, sought-after public sector jobs. We are looking for a GIS Analyst/Developer that has 5+ years of experience in GIS to work remote and part-time (approximately 20 hours per week) with flexible hours.Projects may include:
  • ADA Ramps
  • Curb and Gutter Projects
As a GIS Analyst/Developer, your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
  • Design, build, and maintain dynamic 2D/3D GIS web apps using ArcGIS Experience Builder, ensuring responsive layouts and engaging user interfaces.
  • Develop and customize widgets and tools using ArcGIS APIs and JavaScript; create interactive narratives with ArcGIS StoryMaps.
  • Use Storybook to build, document, and test UI components (e.g., jimu UI library, themes, widgets) in isolation.
  • Collaborate with GIS analysts and stakeholders to translate spatial requirements into functional applications integrated with ArcGIS Online/Enterprise.
  • Perform geoprocessing, spatial editing, data validation, and database maintenance.
  • Conduct quality control on spatial data and document widget behaviors and usage.
  • Troubleshoot data layer issues, app performance, and deployment pipelines; implement updates and fixes.
  • Provide technical support and training on Experience Builder tools and best practices.
As a GIS Analyst/Developer, you will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Geography or related
  • Five years of full-time experience in GIS
  • Experience with administrative procedures in a Traffic Division
  • Knowledge of Data Collection
  • Knowledge of ArcGIS Experience Builder
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently in the U.S. (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship in the U.S.)
  • Valid CA Driver’s License and proof of insurance
