- Maintain a current understanding of the licensing requirements sufficient to ensure compliance
- Ensure the duties of the designated coordinator are fulfilled
- Ensure the program implements corrective action, following review of incident reports and emergency reports
- Evaluation of satisfaction of persons served with the service delivery and progress toward accomplishing outcomes and ensuring and protecting each person's rights
- Ensure staff orientation and training is provided
- Ensure staff competency is equivalent to their abilities and expectations
- Ensure corrective action is taken when ordered by the commissioner and that the terms and conditions of the license and any variances are met
- Evaluate the information above to develop, document, and implement ongoing program improvements
- Ensure general corrective actions are completed as necessary
- Communicate frequently with guardians, management, and caseworkers
- Train and manage assigned staff members according to individuals’ needs and goals
- Maintain an average of 25% (10 hours) individuals served contact time and 75% (24 hours) administrative time weekly
- Uphold confidentiality and privacy of individuals served and staff members
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability and willingness to fill in the Designated Coordinator role as needed
- Ability to pass a background check with the MN Department of Human Services
- Willingness to travel to and from surrounding areas as needed
- Fluently read, understand, speak, and write the English Language
- Dynamic communication skills, working techniques, and ability to multitask
- General computer skills/knowledge
- A working understanding of the abstract nature of maladaptive behavior
- Ability to read, understand, and follow specific Protocols, potentially including but not limited to, Seizure Protocol, Functional Behavior Assessment, Behavior Reduction Protocol, etc.
- At least 18 years of age and possess a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 4+ years of experience working with individuals of varying needs and diagnoses
- 3+ years of supervisory level experience in a program providing direct support services to persons with disabilities
- Knowledge of federal and state healthcare laws and regulations, including 245D Familiarity
- Clear driving record (No major violations or DUI/DWI convictions in the past 5 years)
- Experience with Positive Supports and Crisis Interventions
- Associate’s degree, or higher, in social work, human services, or similar studies
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification
- Multilingual - fluent, ability to translate if necessary
